Yantra Yoga
In long past antiquity... in early Yogic lore, some 8000 years ago, the Rishis (Wise Men) noticed a direct correlation between what a man was called and the personality he displayed.
From the early beginnings this study was so profound, that it was kept secret until the 20th century. This study began to grow and it grew into what we today know as Samkhya Yoga and Yantra Yoga.
Samkhya Yoga is the mathematical science to measure the movements of the heavens. It was displayed to the Learned Ones in great and beautiful symbols (yantra), but also in mathematical formulae, much in the same way as our scientists use the E=MC2 symbol to represent a very complex theory.
Yantra Yoga used the same mathematical formulas but brought them down to a personal level, whereby they could measure the base character and soul nature of an individual, plus his personality. The way he thought and the way he expressed. His environment and his destiny were all foretold in Yantra.
Discord and Harmony were also evident in the mathematical vibration of his name in relationship to his date of birth. Without the knowledge of Yantric balance each man was inevitable fixed

Not satisfied that man should be rigorously caged by a law so strong as to limit his ability to fulfill himself, they realized that because language was a power in itself, they could in effect harmonize his outer nature to his inner nature, by simply changing his name to a perfect mathematical balance; thus freeing him to express himself as nature intended him to.
Man is after all his Name. Ask any man who he is and he answers his name. He identifies with it. That name has a vibration to it, and that vibration is continually working on his brain cells. The complexity of the name configurations for that individual runs into the 500,000's. The great system of Yantra was born.
This system has been handed down from the early times from teacher to student. Unfortunately, like all good things, charlatans and snake oil salesmen got a hold of this wonder, and used the principle for their own gain. They did this by manipulating the name change to suit their own greed.
To this day there are a number of schools which have abdicated the scientific method of changing a name. Yantra is the original and only true way to harmonize one's nature. The teacher cannot manipulate its configuration. The true Yantra Yogi follows rules that are set in stone and cannot be changed to suit one's egotistical needs.
With or without a study of all the Yogas, The Yantrics feel, that given a balanced name, it will allow that person's Atman (Higher Self) to have the expression it needs in this life time to gain Moksha (Liberation).
