The Cycles and Relationships

1 Year

A great time to start a relationship. Regardless, it's a slow year and that's okay. This is the best year to start a relationship to allow you to build a solid, long–term relationship. Take baby steps only. Remain positive, honest, committed and loyal to each other. New relationships shouldn't get married this year. It's too soon. Be patient. Your relationship is still in its infancy. Give it time to grow.

If you are in a long–term relationship already, it's a good year to get married. You can get married in any year when you are in a long–term relationship but the 1 year is arguably the best. However, you ultimately go with the flow but best to get married before the 7 year at the latest. Otherwise, wait until the next 1 year.

2 Year

A time to talk. Build the roots of the relationship deeper and stronger. Make the connection with your partner more solid. Try to avoid arguments.

Starting a relationship in this year is still okay. We can't have everything perfect. Be sensitive to each other's needs, past experiences, etc. Have good discussions. Build the relationship with good dialogue. Be diplomatic.

Getting married this year is also okay for those in a long–term relationship.

3 Year

This is the year you to start think this person could be the one.

For those starting a relationship in this year, it's all about full–blown passion. Hot, sexy and steamy. But with that comes passionate fights and arguments. If both of you can stop acting immature, there's hope.

As they say, you are only young once but you can be immature forever.

Regardless of when your relationship started, this year is full of emotions, passion and fun.

The secret to this year is to have fun, but don't think that just because you are having fun that it means you found the perfect one. Don't become so over–confident that the fun equals a good partner. Remain grounded. Next year your relationship will be tested and if your relationship is only about fun, sex and passion, it won't pass the test's of next year.

4 Year

All relationships are tested this year. So how serious are you? If you are serious, you will pass the tests no problem. Otherwise, if not serious, the relationship will fall apart like a broken egg on the floor.

Be methodical in your approach to the relationship. Build strength, not growth. You need to build a more solid relationship because next year your relationship wants to grow. Without that solid foundation, your relationship will collapse under the pressure.

5 Year

New relationships can crash and burn in this cycle. You can feel like there is relationship burn–out. So if you are in a new relationship, try not to make your relationship weak by doing too many things too soon.

Ultimately, this is the time to grow your relationship and that could be financially, emotionally, having a child, etc.

Try to keep the relationship organized. It's going to be hard. There will be a lot going on in your lives.

A great time to take a vacation or go travelling with your partner.

How does your relationship need to grow? And you see, that's the problem with starting a relationship that's in a 5 cycle. It wants to grow yet it hasn't had the chance to even grow roots and get that foundation.

But if you meet someone and it's a 5 year cycle, go with it. Everything is perfect as is. Don't stop just because it might not be an ideal cycle to start a relationship. See what happens. You will know one way or the other.

6 Year

This year can create extreme jealousy or not — you choose.

All relationships, whether new or old, can show signs of hope. But be cautious. Sometimes it's a false hope.

This cycle makes you want to settle down, even get married.

For those in existing relationships such as a marriage, try to pay debts this year.

The primary focus on this year to create a well rounded and stable relationship.

This is the last year to make changes to your relationship, how you approach your relationship, etc. After this year, your relationship cannot be altered or plans changed until your next 1 year.

7 Year

Sad to say, any relationship started in this cycle will probably only last 2 or 3 years. But don't let that stop you. People like to say everything happens for a reason. But there is no reason. It is just what it is. Experience it. Live it. Go with it.

For those in existing relationships, this will be the year you say I met the right person or Oh what a fool I was.

There are two types of fools in this world. The Average Fool and the Experienced Fool. Which one are you? If you know this relationship is going south but you remain in it, then you will suffer.

On the other hand, if you know this relationship is amazing, embrace it. Spend quiet time with your partner. Truly love the absolute beauty of your partner. Embrace them with gentle hugs. Let the love shine bright from within.

A great time to write love letters.

For those in long–term relationships, it's time to take a bit of a rest. You've both done so much work over the last 7 years. Take a break. Put your feet up. Chill. Breathe and relax. You deserve it.

8 Year

Relationships started in this year may last only 1 to 2 years. But go with it. If it happens, it happens.

A good time to sell property, investments, etc for those in long–relationships.

Bring in the harvest. Embrace the success of your relationship.

9 Year

Relationships started in this cycle may or may not survive the year and may only survive a maximum of 2 years. But such is life.

It's hard to start a relationship at the end of a cycle because there's nowhere for the relationship to go. There's nothing to review, build upon or improve upon. Many relationships started in this year reflect more of a dream for the future than the reality of the now.

For those that have been in relationship at least several years, now is the time to reflect and ask what's been good and what's been bad?

Throw away the bad. Keep the good. Plant the good in your 1 year and let that guide your next 9 years.

This year can be over–emotional and draining on the nerves. Take some time to breathe. But seriously look at how you can build a stronger future by keeping good and throwing away the bad.

Love Compatibility

In trying to determine love compatibility, we use Yantra Yoga to guide us. We can make a comparison between the Group into which a person is born to provide us some answers.

The Group into which an individual is born is determined by the day they are born on. Example, if a person is born on July 31, then the Group they fall into is determined by the 31st day of the month.

The date of the month of one's birth is very important in making an analysis of the individual as it denotes the Group Consciousness an individual is born into.

There are three Groups and one Group that crosses the borders of the three major Groups. The Groups can be classified as follows:

Earth
Water157Disciplinarians
Fire248Inspirational
Air369Dreamer — Visionary

If a person is born on the 31 day of the month, then we reduce their day of birth to a single digit — 3 + 1 = 4. Therefore, this individual belongs to the Fire Group with Earth Properties.

A person born on the 10th of a month, 1 + 0 = 1, belongs to the Water Group.

Someone born on the 9th of a month belongs to the Air Group.

The chart above is an easy way of remembering how to classify an individual. However, the following is a complete list of the days of a month and which Group the individual belongs to:

How To Determine Compatibility

To determine love compatibility, one should find a partner that is born into the same Group. That is, if you are an Air then your partner should also be an Air. The reason for this is because fundamentally, individuals born in the same Group would feel the same way about many things.

Individuals born into the Air Group and Fire Group can find harmony and happiness together. Individuals born in these Groups may find it possible to merge their individuality and find happiness together. Although it is possible for an Air and Fire to have a relationship together, they will eventually exhaust each other as fire requires air to burn. As the fire burns, the air will be exhausted and when there is no more air, there is no more fire.

The Water Group and Air Group do not find lasting happiness in their relationship. There is a conflict in the way these two Groups see things. Have you ever tried breathing under water? It's not easy to do — in fact, it's impossible unless your a fish! Water drowns Air.

The Water Group and Fire Group are also not good with each other. But, Water and Fire are not as discordant as Water and Air. Nonetheless, Fire cannot burn when Water is poured on it.

Those with Earth Properties have more flexibility as they can get along more easily with others from a different Group.

The Water Group are the disciplinarians. The Fire Group of people are inspirational. The Air Group are the dreamers and/or visionaries.

When determining complete compatibility, from a Yantric Yoga point of view, one must also consider the name and complete date of birth of the two people in question.

Water — lesson: self–discipline (disciplinarians).

Fire — lesson: to work well with others (inspirational).

Air — lesson: vision, compatibility, learn to give service (dreams — visionaries).

Earth: Those with earth properties are more grounded and can more easily adapt to other groups.

It's important to remember that the Groups are just one of many influences we encounter in life. While using the numbers to help us live our life is beneficial, we cannot and should not live our lives by the numbers. If you do, you will stop living.

Not every relationship will have a happy ending,
Not every relationship will have a happy ending. But with the cycles, you can at least work to try to build a happy story.
